How the Zenless Zone Zero pity system works

Zenless Zone Zero uses a 90-pull ceiling with soft pity from pull 74. Below 74 every pull sits at 0.6%; from 74 onward the rate gains 6.0 points per pull until the ceiling forces a hit. Featured characters are a 50/50 split: losing it guarantees the next 5★.

Starting from zero pity, the average player needs about 62.3 pulls. Half of players are done by 76, 90% by 80. The gap between the average and the median is the tail: a lucky minority pulls early and drags the mean down, so planning around the average understates your risk.

What to do with a partial pity count

If you are already at pull N, only the remaining 90−N pulls matter — the calculator above takes your current count as input. Losing the 50/50 once and entering guaranteed is usually cheaper than pushing from zero, which is why saving for a guarantee beats spreading pulls.
